We’ve kept our promise!
February 13, 2025The Kwara State Education Trust Fund (KwaraETF) has celebrated the outstanding achievement of students who represented the state at the 2024 Presidential School Debate Championship in Abuja. This initiative underscores KwaraETF’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and motivating future champions.
Four exceptional pupils were rewarded for their impressive performance, with educational support provided to encourage their continued excellence. These young talents include:
- Esther Ajibulu (Tanke LGEA School B, Ilorin South LGA)
- Akanbi Al-Amin (St. Cyprian LGEA Primary School, Offa LGA)
- Paul Unity (Bishop Smith LGEA School A, Ilorin East LGA)
- Abdulrahman Fatimoh (Okesuna LGEA Primary School, Ilorin East LGA)
Each pupil received a cash reward of ₦250,000 as well as NCEE fees and School supplies for their hard work and dedication.
Beyond individual recognition, KwaraETF also extended support to their respective schools by providing amenities to support learning and encourage excellence across the schools. The schools received
- Oke Suna LGEA School A – 10 sets of 2-seater desks
- Bishop Smith LGEA School A – A new school gate
- Tanke LGEA School B – 10 sets of 2-seater desks
- St. Cyprian LGEA School, Offa – Financial support for school development
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Oniye Ibrahim, PTA Chairman and member of the board of trustees of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund, emphasized the significance of recognizing academic success: “These students have demonstrated incredible potential within our education system. Celebrating their achievements serves as a motivation to others and reinforces our commitment to investing in the future of Kwara’s education.”
Also, at the St Cyprian LGEA school, Offa Mrs Kemi Mary Adeosun, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Business and Innovation, Representative of the Head of Service and member of the Board of Trustees of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund, commended the dedication of the educators, acknowledging their tireless efforts in nurturing young minds despite existing challenges. She emphasized that their commitment has not gone unnoticed, stating: “Your effort is recognized, and it is important to know that recognition and reward can come at any time because hard work never goes unrecognized. The impact you make in the lives of these students is immeasurable, and we appreciate your resilience and dedication.”
